- This is valid for almost all the treks in Uttarakhand (UK) – There is long drive to basecamp, almost 8-10 hours from Deharadun. This is always most tiring part of UK treks. Many people reach Deharadun in morning by train from Delhi and start immediate travel to basecamp. I would certainly prefer and advise to reach Deharadun earlier so that one can catch good sleep and start trek on good note.
- Suitable Time Period – Can be done in Spring, summer as well as winters. Accept Jan-March, trek can be done during all other seasons and brings in its unique experience.
- Must – If planning for winter trek, carry multiple layers. Evenings get extremely cold with temperature dipping to sub
